This is standard silliness from online bookmakers but especially daft in this case as I had already had my account verified by 21. March 2018.
In any case, I replied immediately on 28th March 2021 with the documents. Then I waited.
Chased 31/03/2021, chased 01/04/2021, chased 03/04/2021.
Finally got a reply on 06/04/2021 with a question “the address on your proof of address does not match that of your account”
Replied on 06/04/2021 – “I moved house” – what other reason were they expecting?
Chased again 07/04/2021. I also logged in on this day to find my initial withdrawal had been cancelled and the money was back in my 21.
Chased 13/04/2021 asking for phone number for the complaints department.
Chased on live chat on 13/04/2021 where the woman attempted to use the pandemic as an excuse for the very, very poor service. That may have been the case in March 2020 but we are 13 months on now and to use the pandemic as an excuse is ridiculous.
21.co.uk appears to be another in a long line of gambling companies who are happy to take deposits all day long but will desperately attempt to find a way not to pay you out when you win.
My account had already been verified in March 2018 and at that point they had checked everything (I am over 18, I am who I say I am, I used my own debit card etc).
There is no reasonable explanation for demanding documents again as I have the same name, the same gender and the same date of birth. Plus I have been depositing to 21.
This was either an attempt to try and confiscate the money or inexcusable stupidity.
